Laurie CinottoLaurie Cinotto's visual vocabulary pulls from craft items, trinkets, old photos, and aged personal possessions that are collaged, assembled or recontextualized in ways that expose the dark or sad side of decoration, ornamentation, and kitsch. Her work questions how we create memories and consider the passage of time, and often incorporates themes of sentimentality, domesticity, and women's work. Cinotto is a co-founder of Soil. She has also exhibited at the King County Art Gallery, at Tacoma Contemporary in Tacoma Washington, and at the John Erickson Museum of Art, now located in Gainesville, Florida.
